Inspiring Twinning, Replication and Good Practice

This article describes ENNEREG Replication and Knowledge Transfer activities, including the first version of the Regions 202020 Inspiration Guide which is now available on this website. The guide aims to give you an overview of how to change your region into a Sustainable Energy Region that helps to ensure long term benefits for your Region, its stakeholders and citizens.

Also included are details of forthcoming ENNEREG events in Autumn/Winter 2012 and presentations from recent events.

Finally, it summarises a further 14 Good Practice case studies from ENNEREG Pioneer and Twin Regions in Bulgaria, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal and Spain which have been added to the website in Spring/Summer 2012.


Inspiring Twinning and Replication

The first version of the Regions 202020 Inspiration Guide is now available on this website. The guide aims to give you an overview of how to change your region into a Sustainable Energy Region that helps to ensure long term benefits for your Region, its stakeholders and citizens.

In 2012, ENNEREG has been using experience gained developing Sustainable Energy Action Plans (SEAPs) in the Pioneer Regions to encourage replication in Twin and other regions throughout Europe. The ENNEREG Pioneer Regions have been working with their Twin Regions, some of whichhave created regional profiles on the Regions 202020 website, including details of their Sustainable Energy Action Plans (SEAPs) and ENNEREG twinning activities.  Twin Regions include:

ENNEREG Events and Presentations

As part of the ENNEREG Replication and Knowledge Transfer activities, the project partners are organising and/or making presentations at a number of forthcoming events in Autumn/Winter 2012. The events include:

  • Be SMART-think CITY! Workshop9 October 2012, Brussels, Belgium - Peter Lind, Executive Adviser at Triangle Region, is representing the ENNEREG project and the City of Vejle during this workshop as part of Open Days 2012
  • 2nd Pomeranian Energy Days, 25–26 October 2012, Gdansk, Poland

Presentations of interest to local and regional sustainable energy communities are also available from a number of ENNEREG events earlier this year, including:

  • ENNEREG International Conference: Transfer of knowledge in the field of sustainable use of energy and the ENNEREG Replication Workshop which took place on 22 and 23 May 2012 in Poznan, Poland
